Danish design is still famous for designs by Arne Jacobsen, Kjærholm, Wegner etc; pieces which are dated back to the 1950’s and 1960’s.

Would it be possible that these classics after such a long time, are tired of remaining what they have become? Have a wish of being something else? if they could speak themselves!

I observed one of Vedel’s wooden birds - again sitting on a boring shelf - and I had the feeling that this little bird was longing to fly out of the ‘classics-cage’ it had been in since 1959 – out into the world as a free bird!
